orchideo | easySSP goes AI – Version 1.4.4 out now

We’re excited to introduce orchideo | easySSP 1.4.4 ! The new release brings two major capabilities to the forefront: a brand-new Workflow Editor to build guided processes directly in easySSP, and an optional AI co-pilot connected via MCP to help you create, modify, and understand SSP projects faster and more naturally.

Whats’s new in Version 1.4.4?

1. New Workflow Editor: create and maintain workflows directly in easySSP

With the new Workflow Editor, you can now build and evolve workflows right where you work – making it easier to turn modeling know-how into guided, repeatable steps. Instead of keeping workflow definitions scattered across tools, you can:

  • Assemble and adjust workflow content (e.g., widgets) directly within easySSP
  • Configure workflows in the integrated editor, supported by helpful inline hints so options are easier to understand at a glance
  • Use Preview Mode to instantly validate how the workflow will look and feel during execution – before rolling it out to users

2. AI co-pilot via MCP: connect your preferred AI agent to easySSP

easySSP 1.4.4 can now connect your preferred AI agent (powered by the AI service of your choice) based on the open MCP protocol, so you can use it as a smart co-pilot for SSP projects. Instead of clicking through menus, you can describe what you want in natural language and let the assistant:

  • Create or modify system structures, including components, connectors, and connections
  • Analyze your model and answer detailed questions about the structure and intent of your SSP project

Further Developments:

  • More transparent pre-simulation checks: The automatic pre-simulation check now shows detailed information for all evaluated rules.
  • Enhanced connector visualization: Input and output connector visualization has been enhanced, making data flow easier to understand at a glance.
  • Property data binding in workflows: Display and edit SSP model properties directly within a workflow.
  • Automatic embedding of Markdown images: Images used in Markdown in process documentation/workflows are now embedded automatically in the appropriate context.

  • Improved default simulation settings: Saving default simulation settings now includes additional options (e.g., output rate).
  • Workflow documentation output control: Workflow documentation can now be generated in a folder of your choice.
  • SSP version selection on model creation: When creating an SSP model, you can now select the SSP version directly.
  • Better parameter copy: When copying parameters within a parameter set, you can now select all parameters or ranges.
  • Radar Chart widget upgrade: The Radar Chart workflow widget now supports custom labels for the displayed data.
